Nutrition

What and how much to feed your dog can be a confusing and emotional topic. Whilst everyone agrees that dogs need a well balanced diet to live a healthy life, what exactly constitutes such a diet is hotly debated.
Many vets will recommend feeding a "high quality" dry food, which contains the various components of what is deemed the correct nutritional components in the right balance. On the other side of the spectrum, and defended with equal vigour, is the "raw" diet, consisting of mainly raw meat and raw meaty bones, plus various supplements depending on the type of raw diet.
Unfortunately, there seems to be no conclusive unbiased (ie not Pet Food Manufacturer sponsored) scientific evidence that will tell us what is best for our dogs, and it is up to you to do your research and observations and decide for yourself. Follow the links below for some information you might find useful.
