There is a huge amount of information about positive rewards based training on the Internet, in books and on DVDs. Here are some links and resources you might find useful.
LinksDogmantics Dog Training - Emily Larlham (aka Kikopup on YouTube)
Sophia Yin's Training and Behaviour Videos - Sophia Yin Positive Training Books/DVDs"The Power of Positive Dog Training" by Pat MillerThis is one of the most accessible and comprehensive books about positive dog training, and one I often recommend to my clients as a reference and for further training ideas. It deals with all the standard behaviours, as well as tricks and behaviour issues. What sets it apart is the section about typical things that go wrong when training each behaviour, and what to do.
"Puppy Primer" by Patricia McConnell
The Puppy Primer is a very well structured book that takes you through various levels of training your puppy in all the basics, as well as providing information on how to prevent common problems. This book is equally useful to anyone starting off with positive training, especially if the dog is an adolescent behaving just like a pup! Available both as an ebook and regular book.
"Basic Manners for the Family Dog", free ebook by Pet ExpertiseA fabulous little guide to using positive methods for all the things you need your dog to do, and how to change the things you don't want him to do. Hard to believe it's free! Pet Expertise also sells a lot of good training equipment.
"The Power of Positive Reinforcement", free ebook by Jean CoteMore basic than the above ebook, but still a good free resource. Nicely done up with photographs and a good layout.
